46 Days to Go

Just an update... 46 days.... and I am already nervous

on the plus side, I now have my fancy camera, Panasonic Lumix fz40, so hopefully there should be some fantastic photos from Europe! showing my ugly face!...

I have a backpack!, hopefully it will be big enough for 3 months, I have been told to just take enough clothes for 1 week, so we will see...  I am also a proud owner of some macpac clothes, this stuff you don't need to wash! yeah!, well the record is 196 days... I have taken them out for one test run, they were hmm, well wet, and they don't smell at all... feel ok... (I will wash them honest! before coming to Europe)...

Things to do, before it is time....
  • Sell my damn white car, may baby has to go :-(
  • get an iPad or netbook for Blogging/Couchsurfing requests
  • pay my bills! ugh!, I have to pay my land rates/water rates x2! because the repayments will fall while I'm on holiday! pfft that kinda sucks!
  • get some souvenirs to take to Europe for my hosts! or anyone else I meet along the way..
  • map, where to go to after Rome
  • get an android phone? for the translator (seems alot of money tho)
  • international drivers licence! incase I rent/buy a car in Europe
  • plan my next stage after Roma!
Here is my current map plan:

I still haven't planed out my route yet, currently I am thinking about travelling up though Italy into France, then down into Spain/Portugal then back up into France.

  1. Hey hey! You bought the same camera as me, good choice! Are you going to buy the same cuuuuuuuute pink netbook too? ;-)

  2. sorry Mel, no pink netbook, toshi, is her name, standard netbook colour (black), I tested about 7 netbook keyboards, and toshi had the best keyboard for the price! yes, I was typing

as my test, however ive found, typing while in the dark & in bed a challenge

Yes the panasonic camera is fantastic, altho it is kinda big, chews up 1/3 of my daypacks space.
