Ok, after a couple of hours talking to mum and dad on Skype, it was time to have a shower, and head off again, Today being Sunday, and also a public holiday here (May 1st), I walked off to check out one of the parks Fredo had dotted on my map, was just a few kms from his place, easy walk...

Path down by the river, have found I keep to the left on the paths, old habbits die hard, almost have been run over by a bike twice now... is like WTF, in NZ we don't care!

Anyway That was todays walk, am feeling a little better now... not as blocked up...voice still seems a little crocky... hopefully it is broken... was a good walk I am guessing 10km walk over 5 hours :)

Still not feeling 100%, Fredo, a previous guest, left me the keys to his house, while he went off to some island with his girlfriend, hope the weather is better than here!!.. the weather seems to have a mind of its own here, sun cloud RAIN, THUNDER. I really miss Bordeaux's weather, and girls that wore very little...

The Mercanical Elephant!

Ok, they were explaining everything to the crowd, in French, I did understand one word! "Lunch" the beast is a sea monster, he selected one little kid to go up, here I was thinking, only kids... next thing... he points to me! I was like OMG! this can't be happening!! I was soo happy! my job, was to turn some handle, to wiggle the see monsters whiskers, and another leaver I don't know what the hell it did.. honestly I can see why I was selected... FORK! it was HARD work, I got a sweat up, just keeping the whiskers going... the monster moved around, I couldn't see much, but jets of water/steam comes rushing out of its mouth. I regret not taking more photos of it now in my excitement! duh!

Squid! this also, had a jet of water coming out, the back tail was amazing with it's fluid motion, the Tenticail's all work it was amazing.

Why I want to have KIDS!

OMG, I want to have kids!! and when I do, I want to bring them here to Nantes to see the mechanical elephant, and the merry go round, it is breathtaking, I have never had soo much joy in my life, watching the little kids giggling, and squealing for joy, it was amazing... I love this place, I wish I was little again...

The mechanical elephant, yes, it walks and takes people for rights... squirts out water even sounds kinda like an Elephant

Nantes

After a 4 or so hour rail journey from Bordeaux, I've made it to Nantes, I had to now, walk around the city for the next 5-6 hours with my backpack on... am kinda getting used to it after a couple of days in Bordeaux, key difference noticed, it was alot cooler than Bordeaux, and the women wore more clothing... damn... sucks to be me! Still, I made it

Trainstation at Nantes, I spend an entertaining 4 hours chatting in the train, was different to flying will try and do it more for 4 hour and below trips

Ok Checked out of Formule 1 Hotel, room, was really basic, but that is all you need, had a double bed, with a bunk up top, hand basin, and a TV in the corner, Wifi, in the room, altho it was insanely slow..

Showers, where down the hall... it was very compact and modern, for 31 euro who can complain?
